荣誉沙龙系列 continues race-related 会话s after successful debut

The popular 荣誉沙龙系列 returns for spring semester 2021 with new topics and presenters exploring race from many 不同的观点. 

第一个 虚拟 会话 春天的 was held February 3 and attracted 40名参与者 肖恩·金 Butorac, assistant professor of political science, discussed “比赛 & The Politics of Resistance.” All 会话s are held 虚拟ly on Zoom or Microsoft Teams and are open to the campus community. After the presentation of topics, participants are welcome to ask questions and discuss content further.  

The next 会话 is scheduled for Thursday, 2月18日, 中午, 威尔·巴尼特, associate professor of history, discusses “Environmental Racism and Justice in the United States.”

Participation numbers for the fall 会话s 从17岁到35岁不等. “Many of the students who joined in loved the topics 立博在线体育re so thankful for faculty members’ willingness to facilitate these conversations,” 说 Cheop. “Students continue to come back for each salon because they truly enjoy learning more about the issues surrounding racial justice.”
